Child Safety Standards

Last updated: 13 August 2026

Seatt is an adults-only service. This page sets out our standards against child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE), as required by Google Play's Child Safety Standards policy for social and dating apps, and how to reach us about them.

Seatt is operated by Amboyance Inc., a company incorporated in Ontario, Canada.

Nobody under 18

Seatt is for adults aged 18 and over. There is no teen tier and no supervised mode.

Every account gives a date of birth during sign-up, and the check that it is at least 18 years old runs on our server, not in the app. A build that skipped the screen would still be refused, because being 18 is a condition of using Seatt rather than an interface preference.

On Google Play the listing is rated for adults, the target age group is 18 and over, and we have asked Google to block users it determines to be minors from finding, downloading, or subscribing to the app.

What is not allowed

The following are prohibited on Seatt without exception:

  • Child sexual abuse material (CSAM) in any form, including images, video, drawings, and computer-generated or AI-generated depictions.
  • Grooming, or any attempt to make contact with a minor for a sexual purpose.
  • Sexualisation of a minor, including in text, and including a description of a real or fictional child.
  • Trafficking, sextortion, or the solicitation of a minor, or offering to provide access to one.
  • Presenting yourself as a minor, or seeking somebody who is one.

An account found doing any of this is terminated. There is no warning, no strike system, and no appeal for a first offence.

What we do about it

Every photograph is checked. Each image uploaded to Seatt is scanned by Amazon Rekognition's content moderation as it arrives. Explicit nudity, sexual activity and related categories are refused, and a failing image is deleted from storage rather than hidden, so it cannot be recovered or re-served.

Written text is checked as it is submitted. Names, biographies, prompt answers, plan descriptions, seat requests, the question a host asks, the answer they get, and messages are all screened on our server as they are written, and refused if they do not pass.

Reporting is on every surface. There is a report control on every profile, every plan, and every message thread. Reports reach a person rather than a queue, and we action them within 24 hours. You do not need an account relationship with somebody to report them.

Blocking is immediate and mutual. A blocked person's plans leave your feed and yours leave theirs, in both directions, and they are not told.

Meetings happen in public. Every plan on Seatt has to be at a public venue, which our server verifies against the place record and refuses for homes and hotels. This is a check rather than a guideline.

Reporting to authorities

We report apparent child sexual abuse material to the appropriate authority in the jurisdiction that applies, and we preserve the associated account data for them.

For the United States, that is the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) via the CyberTipline. In Canada, that is Cybertip.ca.

We cooperate with law enforcement requests relating to child safety, and an account terminated for a child safety reason is retained rather than erased, so that a record survives the account that caused it.

You do not have to go through us. Anyone can report directly:

If a child is in immediate danger, contact your local emergency number first.

How to reach us

Write to contact@seatt.app.

That address reaches a person who can speak to our CSAM prevention practices and our compliance with this policy. It is the same address that receives in-app reports, and it is monitored every day.

For anything urgent, put CHILD SAFETY in the subject line.

  • Safety, for how Seatt handles meeting a stranger generally
  • Terms of Service, which prohibit this conduct as a condition of using Seatt
  • Privacy Policy, for what we retain and for how long
